Sounds like oil is blowing past the rear main, getting on the trans input shaft, mixing with dirt, and creating a tolerance the throw out bearing cant move freely upon. Also sounds like the engine had dirty oil, and that created excessive wear in the oil control rings on the pistons, and the rear main seal, and now the engine is burning oil excessively. Does the car leak oil at all. When its running, especially. White blue smoke is an indicator of oil being burned. Spark plugs will foul in time, and I had a sticky clutch in both my honda and mustang, due to rear mains going bad. Or it could be the trans leaking oil at its input shaft seal, but unlikely because the oil moves toward the back of the trans when under power.
